I've always loved vintage Christmas ornaments, but it wasn't until a few years ago when I became a *serious* collector (by "serious" I mean I've spent a good bit of money on eBay to build up my collection, not that I necessarily have any expertise on the Shiny Brite company, their history or how many different variations of the same ornament are out there).
In 2003, the Macy's on 34th Street in NYC had a Shiny Brite (Radko) display during the Christmas season. It was then and there I decided that I too would have a Shiny Brite tree one day. Since then I've collected all sorts of Shiny Brite decorations - mostly the 50's and 60's plastics, and a few boxes of glass balls here and there.
